About the endgame checker
An endgame tablebase is a complete record of every position with a few pieces left, worked out to the end. For each one it knows whether the side to move wins, draws or loses with best play, and the moves that keep that result. This checker reads the Syzygy tablebases and covers every position with 5 pieces or fewer, kings included.
Tablebases leave out castling, so a position with castling rights cannot be checked. Use it for king and rook vs king, rook endings, pawn endings and any other position with 5 pieces or fewer.
No sign-in, and the positions you check are not tied to you. Answers are kept for a few hours so the same position loads quickly next time.
